Joy Bechtler, lyric soprano, and Mary Greenberg, pianist are delighting audiences with their original presentations of short plays within concerts of the music of Franz Schubert and Fanny Mendelssohn. Joy and Mary have performed their Plays in Concerts for a variety of audiences, large and small, including performances at Westminster Choir College, living room concerts and soirees. Their performances include dramatic scenes revealing the lives and loves of the composers featured in their concerts. This popular duo is a Viennese delight. Ideal for benefit concerts to accompany your desserts and coffee. Joy and Mary will enliven your home concerts, soirees and special group meetings.

Joy teaches individual voice lessons to adult, college-age and high school students. She taught as assistant professor of music at Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma and as adjunct voice teacher at the Pingry School in Martinsville, New Jersey. She has adjudicated voice competitions for the Hunderton County Teen Arts Festival and the Mercer County Teen Arts Festival, the Enid Arts Festival and Sri Lanka’s Young Artist of the Year Awards. Joy earned her master of music degree from the University of Southern California. Voice lessons are available in 8-week sessions.
